DigiSakha Empowerment was born out of a vision to break the barriers that prevent rural communities in Eswatini from participating fully in the digital age. Founded in 2024 by a group of passionate young professionals, DigiSakha began as a simple idea, to introduce basic computer literacy to underserved areas and empower people with the skills they need to succeed in the modern world.
The founders, having experienced firsthand the challenges of limited digital access in rural settings, understood that the digital divide was more than just a lack of devices, it was a barrier to education, economic growth, and self-reliance. What started as informal training sessions using borrowed laptops quickly grew into a structured community-driven initiative.
Today, DigiSakha is preparing for its first pilot training in KaGasa, Mangweni, targeting students, unemployed youth, and women. This pilot marks the beginning of a long-term mission to expand digital empowerment programs across rural Eswatini. From humble beginnings to a growing movement, DigiSakha remains grounded in its purpose: to create a digitally inclusive and economically resilient future for rural Eswatini.
DigiSakha Empowerment is a youth-led non-profit organization based in Eswatini, dedicated to closing the digital gap in rural communities. We are a passionate team of changemakers, educators, and community builders committed to empowering people through access to digital skills and tools.
Our team brings together a diverse mix of backgrounds in education, technology, social sciences, and community development, united by a common purpose, to make digital literacy accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live.
We work hand-in-hand with local schools, community leaders, and grassroots organizations to design and deliver practical, relevant, and inclusive training programs for students, unemployed youth, and women in rural Eswatini.
At DigiSakha, we believe that true empowerment starts with access to knowledge and we are here to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital revolution.
